Cats also have inheritance
Not only in bloodline, but in temperament, background, and the stories that quietly travel with them.
MeowLineage did not begin as a tool idea. It began with a cat named Kimi, and one question that would not go away.
Origin
The author has a Devon Rex cat named Kimi. Looking at her one day, an unexpected thought appeared: cats also have parents, siblings, and grandparents. They also come from somewhere. They also belong to a line that existed before they reached us.
From there, the question kept growing. If one cat can have a family tree, perhaps that tree is not small at all. Perhaps it reaches through breeders, families, cities, and even across countries. Perhaps a cat's lineage is far more expansive than most people ever get to see.
That is where MeowLineage began. Not from a desire to make another pet tool, but from the feeling that a cat's life deserves roots, continuity, and a place where memory does not break apart.

The breed note that frames Kimi's temperament and origin.

The cat who turned a passing thought into a product that needed to exist.
Three shaping thoughts
Not only in bloodline, but in temperament, background, and the stories that quietly travel with them.
Your cat may have siblings, parents, and branches of history living far beyond your own field of view.
Without a place that holds origin, daily life, and story together, even the most loved memories eventually begin to thin out.
Kimi was the beginning. MeowLineage is the attempt to make sure that what starts as affection can grow into a lasting record of a whole life.
